FREE SITE SURVEY

We offer a free and comprehensive site survey to all of our customers, providing practical advice on how to reduce your voltage supply.

Our technical surveyors will assess your usage patterns as well as your current list of appliances so that we can make appropriate recommendations.

 

Our quotations are in writing and valid for 12 months, giving you plenty of time to think things over!

THE SOLUTION

In our experience, no two systems are ever the same. The solution we provide will be completely bespoke to your needs, as assessed by our team of energy experts.

INSTALLATION & AFTERCARE

Should you decide to act on our recommendations, we'll organise an appropriate install date. An engineer will test the newly installed system thoroughly before leaving your premises, ensuring you're happy with how it works.

We take our customers very seriously. If you're not happy, then we're not happy.

Following installation, to give you peace of mind, we can arrange a follow-up call. If for any reason you're not 100% satisfied, we'll even send out an engineer free of charge to run through everything with you.

With our aftercare provision, you're never alone.

OUR EXPERTISE

LANDLORD SAFETY CHECKS & CERTIFICATION

If you're a landlord or letting agent, there are several safety obligations you must meet, and failure to do so could result in huge fines.

 

Perhaps more importantly, if you neglect your electrical safety obligations, you could put your tenants at an increased risk of harm.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR OBLIGATIONS?

The Landlords and Tenants Act (1985) requires that the electrical installation in a rented property is not only safe when a tenancy begins but maintained in a safe condition throughout the tenure.

LANDLORDS MUST ENSURE THAT;

·     All electrical installations in your rented property must be in a safe condition for the length of the tenancy

·     All appliances you provide to your tenants, such as kettles, cookers and toasters must be reliable and have the CE marking

·     An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report)  is to be carried out every five years by a qualified electrician. Though this only legally applies to a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO), we'd highly recommend you have a regular report undertaken on all of your rented properties. Contact us for your next EICR.

·     Finally, you must fit a smoke alarm on every floor of your rented property

OUR EXPERTISE

PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING (PAT)

Like an EICR, PAT isn't a legal requirement. However, UK law does state that the electrical appliances within your rental property must be safe to use.

If an incident occurs due to an unsafe appliance, as a landlord, you could be liable.

My Electrics can electrically test your portable appliances, such as fridges, toasters microwaves and kettles to ensure they're always safe to use.
